Pixel passed away in late 2022. It's actually part of why I joined Mastodon because I was really sad and needed to escape from my reality. People ask if/when we're going to get another cat, but the answer is never because losing him broke us and we never want to go through that again.

We named him Pixel because he was tiny and the runt of the litter, but he grew up to be gigantic. I loved his tuxedo pattern because it looked like he was wearing an unbuttoned tuxedo after a wild night and he was honestly the chillest cat, just lounging around being sweet and comforting.
