Just finished Annalee Newitz 🍜 (npub1hhs…rl5g) ‘s book “Automatic Noodle” 🍜
My reactions:
a) fantastic characters, world building, and writing. 5/5
b) made me order lo mein 🥡 for lunch
c) gave me a hopeful vision of the future, not the far future like Star Trek but a future being built day-by-day amidst the catastrophes of climate change, viciously anti-social groups, and all that plagues us now. This is the kind of future we can start building right now (plus or minus actual robot sentience 🤖 ).
