Some people cannot see how creativity nourishes the soul. They see everything in terms of "success". And money, which is often the same thing in their eyes.
The odds of becoming a best-selling novelist, with movie adaptations, are not good. They prefer "sure-fire" success, like working in a cubicle farm for forty years or until your soul leaves your body.
