Nintendo is corporation and I don't like corporations. But they have rights to sell games on their own platform as they see fit. They are not in monopoly position, except for their own games. Which again, players have option to opt out.
I rather concentrate on profit vs pay of artists and developers. But as far as I know Nintendo is one of few companies that are on bit higher ladder there.
I understand it might be upsetting for fans with little money, but not sure it is most pressing.
