If you snapped your fingers and replaced all traditional cars with #EV cars for free, I’d imagine that these two things would happen:



Prices for many products drop as lower demand for oil drives down gas prices. Unleaded gas prices would plummet by at least 50%.


Rolling blackouts would happen all over the place, as the electrical grid struggles to charge every car. People start spending even more time at home or resorting to public transit because it takes their vehicles forever to charge, if they can charge them in the first place.
