#TransLifeline is an international hotline for #trans people by trans people offering peer support. Trans Lifeline differs from The Trevor Project in that they do not participate in non-consensual active response - they won't call emergency services or law enforcement for those who admit to thoughts of suicide.
This is not a criticism of The Trevor Project - I donated to them yesterday - just providing another option for folks who might otherwise not seek help.
UPDATE: Trans Lifeline’s hotline operating hours are Monday through Friday:
10 AM – 6 PM Pacific
11 AM – 7 PM Mountain
12 PM – 8 PM Central
1 PM – 9 PM Eastern
I was told it was 24 hours but that must have changed.
