I started with a 300 baud, and when the 2400 baud came out I was utterly shocked by the increase of speed and couldn't imagine a day when it could be faster. I had a home built tower of hard drives to store all the shareware, pictures etc people uploaded and downloaded.
I hosted the game Tradewars 2002. This was back when I was medically forced to retire from the FD due to spinal injuries from a head on collision so I'd be up all night playing the game against other users since I was up due to the pain not letting me sleep. I was using a IBM 486 SX 25
