Generally speaking, we don't have laws in the US requiring you to report shit unless you're in certain professions where you encounter that crime in your profession (i.e. teachers are required to report any child abuse they see to CPS).

Also, while the state department does do strong arming, under the actual letter of the law, there's nothing they should be able to do. The way extradition in the US works, all of our treaties require something be against the law in both countries for either to be required to send someone over.
