[Rotterdam Centraal → Bruxelles Midi](https://traewelling.de/status/9353572 )I wanted to avoid Eurostar (more on it [in the booking log](https://tommi.space/interrail/2026/ )). Therefore, I am splitting the trip between Rotterdam and Paris in two legs.
I am on SNCB’s EuroCity 9228.
It is crazy how people are encouraged to use Eurostar and spend a crazy amount of money for its awful service, just because other options do not appear unless you intentionally *look for* them. No sign of ECC 9228 on the NS app nor in the DB app. I was about to panic, but I saw it on the station’s board.
(I could have also taken NS’ ECD actually)
