There is no objective reality, no consensus to the way things are or did occur. There's a majority view & the alternate views. This part doesn't matter so much, there is no baseline. You can believe what you want & experience that reality unfold. There is no correct way to experience this reality, but I do my best.
Bitcoin moves slowly & doesn't give a shit what your opinion is. You don't get a vote, you choose a network.
You seem like a decent human who believes that because Bitcoin Core is compromised, Bitcoin is also similarly corrupted.
Once you break from the main network your opinion matters less to the 80% of people who will swing to whatever is popular.
