We had a house in Schaumburg, IL that at one time a wall refrigerator. The bracket was still on the wall. Hard to imagine something more inconvenient.
The neighborhood was developed in the early '60'. There were rumors a few of the house had the wall fridges in through the early 2000's.
(The same guy who came up with pink appliances was the same guy who thought avocado was a good color too.)
