There was a murder in my town 27 years ago. It's such a rare thing that here was a book written about it which I read it a couple years ago. This afternoon I drove by the area where it happened and was thinking about it for a good 5-10 minutes - and how there hasn't been a single murder in the town since.
I just found out that there was a double murder here last night. Story still unfolding, but a pretty horrible situation. There's no danger at all, but damn... did I catch a vibe there?
