Actually I can not find any sources of jesus throwing out the jews due to usury.
Rather jesus was a rabi. jewsus threw some people, probably other jews, out of the temple, not because of usury but because whatever they were doing, exchanging coins, selling live chickens for sacrifice, they were doing it in the temple of God and that he had a problem with.
Perhaps he couldn't care less if they tricked the pilgrims with their exchange rates.
Just do it outside of the temple.
