Having had quotes from £250 to near £500 for a replacement key for my car, I figured that if I need to pay that much I might as well get it from a dealer and have it all original and done properly.

The dealer only wanted £197.80 and will recode my old key, my new key, and the car, so that it is completely secure again even if someone else has the missing key.

So that is now booked in to be done.
