Rent the $8.99 VPS, one-line install Pyramid.
• Bind domain, point A record to VPS, Pyramid handles TLS automatically.
• Enable Inbox subrelay (spam prevention, optional PoW) and Blossom media (with limits) in Pyramid settings.
• Create a Bunny.net Storage Zone, configure Pyramid's Blossom to point to Bunny.net (or use Pyramid's built-in Blossom and periodically sync to Bunny.net).
• Invite 20–30 seed members (cypherpunks, privacy devs, Nostr veterans), establish the trust tree.
• Create the community in Concord (Armada or Vector), set up public channels #general, #announcements, #help; create private #mods (independent key).
• Expand to 100–200 members through seed member invites; each member can invite 3–5 people (configurable in Pyramid).
• Publish client installation guides: recommend Armada (full-featured), Vector (Tor privacy), Amethyst (mobile), Accordion (Web).
• Establish multi-relay backups: back up Pyramid data daily to Bunny.net; if possible, add a public Pyramid relay as a second write point.
• Enable Concord disappearing messages (e.g., 30 days) to reduce relay retention.
Members + Value-Added Services)
• Reach 300–500 members; monitor VPS disk and bandwidth; upgrade VPS if nearing bottlenecks (still within $15–20/month).
• Evaluate voice/video needs: if the community requires it, deploy LiveKit (separate VPS or same-machine container), access via Concord's blind broker + SFU; costs covered by zaps or sponsorships.
• Set up NIP-05 addresses (name@yourdomain) as community identity markers.
• Periodically audit the Pyramid invite tree, prune inactive subtrees.
