And fuck, if they insist on a Christian religious text, I wish they would pick "the Beatitudes" (blessed are the meek, the peacemakers, the poor in spirit, etc.). Those are supposed to be the *actual words of Jesus himself*, but they don't want to teach kids THAT.
(I don't care how many times they say "Judeo-Christian"; that's still not a thing, & while the text of "the 10 Commandments" comes from the Tanakh, there is obviously no fucking interest in Jewish interpretation of such a text)
