9 people safely disembarked in Reggio Calabria

After the Louise Michel assisted nine people in distress at sea on Sunday night, Italy directed our crew to Reggio Calabria. A port on Italy’s mainland, far more north than the closest possible port of Sicaly. This is a political move to keep rescue ships from doing their vital work, and to harrass people that have already suffered the brutal consequences of Europe’s isolationism.

Today, the 9 survivors our crew took on board, were finally able to disembark safely at the port of Reggio Calabria.
