I now believe that part of the reason neurotypicals hate autistic people so much is that, like the surveillance tech companies, they believe they are entitled to read our thoughts.
I just heard my mom give me another complaint about how she can't tell what I'm thinking from my face because of my "poker face."
My mom is fluent in English. If she wants to know what I am saying, she can listen to my words. But much like the surveillance companies, she isn't satisfied only knowing what I want to communicate. She thinks she's entitled to know every private thought I have. And since she can't read it from my face, she thinks I'm a threat.
