With the breakup, last year, I was really terrified of the increased costs of living alone--paying the whole mortgage, etc. I had nightmares about it.
Of course, I had to know how things were going so I just ran the (non-biz) numbers: YTD 2025 v 2026 my expenses--all in--are virtually the same--actually a *red hair* less! Turns out I was paying for most of the costs already, before he left, and I live more frugally alone.
