when it comes to morals, I feel like AI usage is a lot like eating meat

almost everyone *knows* that animals at farms are treated horribly, that the meat industry is one of the leading consumer causes of global warming, that it's just generally bad

would the world be a better place if the world stopped eating meat? absolutely!
does eating meat contribute to global warming? yes!
is it easy to stop eating meat? if you're financially stable, yes!

and yet people still eat meat, why?
several reasons:
- everyone else does it
- it's affordable
- the options are often lacking when it comes to taste <small>(vegan meat substitutes notoriously have a bad reputation)</small>
