A notice to Gimme and wider pediverse users.
It was brought to my and multiple other admins attention that an individual named Ryowolf (formerly leafus) claims to have been raided by law enforcement. Of which, two main services are affected directly in paws_onl and boykissers_com as they were hosted directly on their infrastructure.
Caught in the crossfire was cubsex and derivatives. However it is important to note that while cubsex is being taken down, it is for the personal safety of the administrator. To this point, no user data or information has been compromised on cubsex domains.
If you are in contact with leafus/ryowolf/pawinput, perform as much digital hygiene as you can. Any accounts or information given by those accounts is not to be trusted.
As of right now, the very claim that he is under investigation is in question, however we are informing the public due to the severity of the event itself. I would say that paw_onl and boykissers_com are compromised at the hardware level until proven otherwise. Cubsex and kin have been taken down by their admin for overarching safety, but is not compromised to the extent of the primary.
A note on software. Gimme and some other instances run on pawkey, an software priorly maintained by leafus. He has since moved on to pawkey-next. While I use this software, I do not have any connections to his git repository, and have actively scanned and maintained this software myself for multiple months. While it is still branded as such, this is effectively my fork of this software and is not, to my investigatory knowledge, connected to leafus.
If you have not already, I recommend learning how to verify signitures via gpg. This allows you and others that have procured my signing key a long time ago to verify that this message is signed with the key I have generated and maintained.
