Hey Mr data journalist: can you explain to me (or point me to a page explaining) how the gap between the ends of the individual state results are calculated? I can see they have something to do with the size of the remaining uncounted votes, but I’d like to know if they are a measure of uncertainty (like proportional to a standard deviation or something?) or is it just the size of the “others” vote, perhaps? I’d rather it showed the total uncounted percentage really, like the overall result view does.
