Hours after Grupo Globo fired its general director over messages exchanged with Daniel Vorcaro, conversations analyzed by the Federal Police reveal that the news director of @Metropoles, @lilian_tahan, was acting as the private press secretary for the Master banker.

The Scripted Article to Cover Up the Scandal Involving the Fictor Holding Company
On November 17, 2025, in the article about Fictor’s purchase of Master, Vorcaro himself wrote the passages about corporate clients and international investors.
The director edited the text according to his instructions and even warned: “This is a hot topic—there’s another one that’s really entertaining.”
The average reader opens the website in the morning believing they are reading unbiased and independent investigative reports.

Behind the scenes, the banker under investigation by the Federal Police acted as the outlet’s true editor-in-chief: he chose headlines, cut the word “bankruptcy,” shielded allies, and attacked the Central Bank to save his own skin.
This “for-hire journalism” was caught red-handed, with the draft right there on WhatsApp.

“The banker ordered the word ‘bankruptcy’ to be deleted from the story so as not to scare the market. He just forgot that the newsroom’s moral bankruptcy had already been broadcast nationwide.”
