I have a couple fountain pens- my grandfather’s (1930’s? 1950’s?) but I always reach for pencils. You’ve given me some things to look at. I’ve eyed the Kwaeco several times, and really like the looks eyejayinstruments.com and Wingback- neither of which have I heard of (Christmas list!) I have the blue Staedtler Mars- wish I knew where I put it! Not a go-to for writing for me, I only grab it for drawing. I decided to try a shaker since my old hands aren’t as nibble as they used to be for the regrip to advance the lead, so I’ll need to get “plain” one back in my hands to see if I want to go back to a non shaker.
