Another book that I finished late last night. Honestly, this was a Dollar Tree find. There were no high expectations, but this book DELIVERED. About a 12 year old Black girl growing up in small town Mississippi in the early 80s.The Civil Rights Era has come and gone, but it never really changed much. A white woman moves into the neighborhood and she is, well, she has history, we'll say. Beautiful, tragic, yet full of hope. I loved my time spent in these pages. TW in alt text.
