Poppy outrage season is once again upon us.
The Daily Mail ran a story, which was picked up by both The Sun and BBC, claiming that Wetherspoons in Gosport banned veterans and a Reform councillor from coming in for wearing a poppy.
Turns out the story is bullshit. The reason they were refused entry, was because they had been out campaigning with Ryan Bridge for Raise The Colours.
Part of my job involves me going to Spoons every week (not my choice), and they literally sell poppies in there.
