tonight was another installment in Baloo trying to figure out what is playing even.... Phoenix and Callisto were doing their "fish on dry land" impression, laying head to head on the floor, thrashing around and chewing on one another, the whole while making a bunch of noise. OK 90% of the noise was coming from Phoenix but my point is, they were noisy. Baloo decided the noises must be the goal so she stood alongside of them, tried... mostly failing... to jump up and down, ears flapping up and down, and began barking her higher pitched "look at me" bark... different than the lower pitched "The trash collectors are stealing our stuff" bark. She didn't try to wrestle, she just was making noise alongside the other dogs who were looking at her like she was from another planet because why are you making the noises without playing the game.... That girl is so socially awkward but has the best heart. She'll figure all this out eventually. Even if she doesn't, she's having fun trying.
