If you’re not already familiar, I recommend learning about DARVO ("deny, attack, and reverse victim & offender"), a common tactic of psychological abusers.
One you understand how it works, you will recognize it…with unfortunate frequency.
IME this pattern is so common and normalized that once you’re paying attention to it, you’ll realize abusers tell on themselves very quickly.
When people tell you who they are, believe them.
