While I don't have any evidence of what I might about to say, my own hunch is that there are more than 8b people on the planet probably somewhere close to 15b. In Africa and LatAm I know for a fact there are areas where the population numbers aren't known either because gvt census people don't get there and they guestimate. That's not considering those that are born outside of the hospital system and thus are never formally registered by the state. Also very common in those parts. Let's not even start talking about their record keeping mechanisms, which are also quite terrible. In short, saying that Africa has 1.2B would be laughable given all these variables and the sheer size of that continent as well.

I will further speculate and say that the reason we are told 8b is so that when things like war, vaccines, abortions, feminism and other bioweapons are deployed we don't get to see the full impact of the genocide if the numbers are kept in a certain range. Suppose pre COVID the population was 12b and 2b people died from the shots, we would just be told that population declined a bit to 8.2b from 8.3b. Crazy example I know and yes it's just a hunch.
