An old-style shaving brush and a puck of shaving soap is much of a better value than cans. Seriously! A can is gone in a month or two. A puck lasts at least double that, for less money. Also, the #1 ingredient in a can is water. I happen to have a lot of that at home, that I can add to the soap to make a lather.

Also, don't get me started about the economy of cartridge razors vs. double-blade safety razors, which when I'm done, can be recycled.
