So Friday, my car decided to suddenly lose power on the highway. Got it towed to the dealership, who thought it was due to low oil, even though I'd added oil 5 days prior. Picked it up Saturday morning, and as soon as I got it onto the highway and up to speed, it did the exact same thing. So again I got it towed back to the dealership. Yesterday they finally determined that the interior of the engine was torn to shit and recommended replacing the dead 114k mile engine with a 110k mile engine to the tune of $7800.

And then one of my chickens died overnight (not unexpected).

At the very least, I managed to find a whole entire car for about $1000 less than that 110k mile engine, so I'll be finalizing that purchase tomorrow morning, hopefully.
