We got a single “burner” induction unit 16 years ago and it became our primary “burner” and that was before induction got popular or common! We did finally get an induction stove top ~4 years ago and the plug-in got passed to a friend who used it a ton (yes it lasted that long! it was only like $100 in 2010!) Highly recommended as a way to try induction out without committing and the new single units these days have far better controls than our old one has.
