The 5xxx series is still the best consumer part, price/performance you can get right now. I swapped my 3900x out for a 2014 machine XD The only thing that lacks is single core perf.
That said, I'm not the only person I know who's experience stability issues with Zen 3 after some aging. Id consider a backup chip if prices drop.
