50TB of data can fit in a NAS in the office, just feed it about 10 8TB hard drives or so in a RAID5 setup. This kind of local backup system should be a tax write off for broadcasters like this. It can be done for less than 15K, FFS!
Why didn't they have a backup mirror? Even having a mirror on a secondary cloud provider would've protected against this kind of data loss.
