Trying to think of the first time I saw Sam Neill, and I'm pretty sure it was in Sleeping Dogs (1977). They played it at my high school(!) bcos reasons - rainy lunchtime, scheduled class didn't happen? 🤔 🤷♀️ - so it would've been early-mid 80s, and absolutely not age-appropriate for the audience that was watching it lol.
