This quote from Jesus describes the main task of a person in life better than any psychology. In a conversation with a Pharisee, Jesus says: “That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.”
Most people don’t understand that the main task of a person in life is to be born again — to become who they potentially are. And Jesus’ words are exactly about this. We are all born physically, but a very few all are born spiritually.
Spiritual birth is the moment when a person stops being who they were made by circumstances, parents, environment, and fears, and allows the spirit to live and create through them.
Most people live their entire lives having been born only once. Their physical body grows, ages, and struggles with life’s difficulties, never allowing the spirit to awaken.
Only a few go through the second birth — the moment when the animalistic ego matures and the spirit is born. The flesh is what is given to us at birth. The spirit is what must be born after we mature and master ourselves. And our entire life is the path from the first to the second.
