Partyline is a group voice application for Reticulum, built on the LXST protocol and inspired by Mumble. It requires Python 3.11 or newer along with Reticulum and LXST. The client uses Tk for graphical interface, which may require system-specific installation, such as python3-tk on Debian/Ubuntu or python3-tkinter on Fedora. It provides commands like /join, /say, and operator commands like /kick and /ban. Partyline supports various audio codecs optimized for voice and music streaming, and includes special "music rooms" that allow only listed identities to send audio, managed via identity hashes. Slow-mode or push-to-talk (PTT) rooms are designed for low-bandwidth links such as LoRa, sending audio in fuller packets to smooth bursts. Kimi K3 third-party API was used for certain tasks. Translations are managed via .po files in the partyline/locale directory, which can be updated or added and then compiled for integration.
