Found a thorough and interesting review about #Bluesky #decentralization. And that confirms my suspicion: if you analyze #ATProto architecture, some building blocks for decentralization are there, but some are missing, and in practice there are many barriers preventing decentralization. As of today, Bluesky is a mostly centralized social network (only data storage is decentralized in the form of PDSs), and it is difficult thinking this will change in the near future.
