the Dutch train station bike parkings are pretty awesome in their affordances for heavy cargo bikes, fat bikes, etc. I think trains are not accommodating bikes so well because most commuters use the rentals or foldables instead.

I think in rush hour normal bikes are banned even. They simply don't fit.
