It seems that no matter how careful we are in the wilderness, bad things eventually happen. Yes, I got into trouble with lightning before. Once we were horseback riding up to a mountain pass at 12,500
ft (3,800m) elevation and saw low lying clouds approaching which were “colliding” with the mountain peaks. Lightning can occur under those conditions. We quickly headed to the valley to avoid the lightning. (CONT)
