To those who need to hear it:
Be kind to yourself. Don't measure your current situation and problems against the heroic self-image and heady visions of your future you had when you were younger.
Life constantly throws curveballs at us, and we cannot possibly predict it all - indeed, even the attempt to do so can be harmful.
And just getting through the day can be "success" enough, at times.
