I’ve been keeping an eye on these discussions for years now because of Owncast. I’d love to give people an easy, built-in option to support monetization. But it’s been impossible for obvious reasons, since everyone has their own preferences. And I have to admit, the Lightning network has a bit of stink on it simply because it’s a crypto product. Their version of “decentralized” is not our version of “decentralized”. And personally, the people who have rallied behind Lightning in the past often rub me the wrong way, so I’m in no rush to join them.
