OK the first one's odd. I've had some Linux machines with that problem, but not Windows. (Ofc you can fix the Linux boxes, but I wouldn't know what to try on Windows ones unless someone has a device-specific solution on a forum.)
But the second one about showing snippets of other windows while switching windows... that's not very good, but I think the assumption is that when the computer's unlocked, what's open is unprotected. "Security model" and all that
