I haven't read every book on your recents list, but it seems like we have some reading tastes in common.
I'll probably go back to Spanish after I finish the current book. It's fun and a brain stretcher. Plus it slows me way down reading which actually improves the experience.
A book I read in the last year that's stuck with me is Alvaro Enrique's You Dreamed of Empires / Tu Sueño Imperios Han Sido . It's quite a ride. Mostly historical, up to the end...
