I was once at a John Fogerty concert in Deer Valley, and my girlfriend got raving drunk, to the point of needing a toilet to hug. I hauled her into the women's restroom, and sat tending her for the rest of the concert, and of the hundreds of other women that came thru the restroom, not a single one raised an objection that I heard.
Americans have, to put it frankly, totally fucked up views, on average, of gender, sex, and reproductive responsibilities. After living in Europe for a number of years, I would flee here if I could, seeing what's on the horizon, but I'm locked into an evolving medical situation that my Medicare will have to cover, and would be irresponsible to put on someone else's fully socially supported medical system.
We may pull out of this, but I'm giving it single digit chances as I watch the new Administration being stitched together out of "holy" cloth.
