I was very nearly scammed a few days ago. Very professional call saying fraudulent activity detected on my card. Didn't try to rush me. Asked all same security questions as the real bank. Said they were sending a text with a code - I hope I would have resisted giving them it but actually the system was down so text never came. When I had to go, they didn't try to keep me on the line.
Bank later confirmed it was a scam.
Learning: If 'bank' calls do not engage. Call bank number yourself
