And the truth is, it doesn't matter which of my siblings with kids we're talking about, because while it's a sliding scale of behavior & attitudes, ALL of them are raising their kids into an authoritarian culture that absolutely devastates people's psyches.
They are doing & saying soul-crushing things to their kids right now. Fuck them for handing down the trauma to a new generation.
