I don’t think you intend to be making the argument that all (or most) parents and grandparents spent their careers in offices, because that would be a pretty major class blind spot.
I think basic technology literacy even among millennials and later is likely much lower than you might expect. The idea is obsolete because we know that it is also your cousin and nephew and grandchild as well.
