it indeed was a known bug. And it was fixed. For a release. And it came back every other release.
That happened like 2 or 3 times and I decided it's not ready yet and I made the switch.
Now that I switched to Void Linux (runit) I embraced the simplicity and like what I got.
I also have everything running with Void, so my laptop, tablet, NAS and phone are all running on/with Void Linux.
