I am not a fan of CLAT. Its original intention was planned as last chance for IPv4only (literal addresses, sockets) apps and services.
I am disappointed that it is still needed after 12 years in some rare cases.
May favorite is still DNS64 (despite of the potential conflict with DNSSEC) and more pressure to develop apps without IPv4 dependencies.
Is see the advantage and the arguments for having dualstack in IPv6 only access.
But the disadvantage is everlasting IPv4 on hosts.
